|Christian Women's Fellowship
The ladies of the church meet the first Saturday of the month with the men for
breakfast during the months of January, February, March, April, June, August
and September and then proceed to have their meeting.
In May we have a May Brunch and invite the other ladies of the church. July
we take the month off with so many on vacation and celebrating the Fourth of
October we have our main fundraiser of the year our Beef and Noodle Dinner
and Bazaar. It is always held the first Saturday in October and the whole
church joins in to make this a success. In November we go to the Holiday
Bazaar and Quilt Show sponsored by the Whitley County Extension
Homemakers at the 4-H Center in Columbia City and it is generally held the first
Saturday in November.
We celebrate in December with a Christmas Party for the ladies of the church.
Fellowship Hall is decorated by one of our ladies. We have a carry-in dinner
and just enjoy an evening of fellowship, after which we make Christmas bags
for the seniors and shut-ins of our knowing.
We sponsor a child through World Vision. Our current child's name is Kalayan
Phuon from Cambodia. We also try to help in our congregation or community
as the need arises.
Also as a branch off of the Christian Women's Fellowship, we have a Craft
Club that meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. We had made
hats for preemies in the Neonatal Unit of Parkview Hospital, Vapor Barriers for
the Rescue Mission to pass out to the homeless, masks needed by the Red
Cross for the pandemic, and various other crafts that we sell at our bazaars.
Our craft table is usually full throughout the year with things we have made
We invite you to come and visit us. Breakfast is a 8 a.m. and
the meeting follows on the first Saturday.
